Price?
Being a manual,
and with km. speedometer and odometer on it, a good bet is that it's likely a euro car. I wonder what color it is and how many miles it has on it. IF its in good condtion, not rusted or a repaired wreck, has the hardtop with it, my W.A.G. is that it's worth no less than $6000 or $7000, probably more depending on mileage, condition, and presence of books and all records. Is a hardtop hoist included, (if there is a hardtop with the car)? Color matters too. Signal red or black models will probably fetch more than green or brown cars. In its favor certainly is the fact it has the slim bumpers, '73 emission controls, no catalysts, the 3.5 is a wonderful motor (one of Mercedes' best efforts) and the relative novelty in the US of being a manual transmission. See www.slmarket.com for more leads. Maybe not worth subscribing to at this point in the game, but it's the best market guide out there. John Olsen is REALLY on top of the game. Those cars are and probably will always be a timeless classic. A clean one in a desirable color ALWAYS looks good. NOTE: POSTING pictures, clear, crisp, and good ones, from many angles inside and out will bring a MUCH larger response to an ad than "offering to send pictures if you e mail me and ask for them". (This ground has been plowed here many times)

There was a good shape 73 SL here in SF a bit back that had little to no rust and under 140K miles it was selling for $3000. OURSL people are downright strange if you ask me. They are more like BMW owners than MB diesel people. I've found they think the cars are worth a lot more than they really are. The latest "market" value is based on the asking price of the cars listed on the site. If you know boating at all you know that nearly all big boat owner's boats are ALWAYS for sale at a very high price- if someone wants that boat they get in contact and then the real price- ie the selling figure is negotiated. OURSL people seem to use this logic when dealing with the cars. Indeed many SL owners regardless seem to use this line of thinking. Look at ebay- and those prices are inflated by shill bidding- and see how much you think w107's are worth. Remember that location is a big variable in price. I'd say without pics that the car would bring under $5000- perhaps 3-4 in south florida.
