For Sale 83 300SD 96K miles Service records immaculate,,,

My jaw dropped to the ground when my buddy brought over his latest find,,,

Here's the jist,,,

1983 300SD
VIN: WDBCB20A8DB051766
Only 96,230 miles (as of 10/13/07)

One Owner (other then my friend) Dr. Owned!!!
(Dr. Leased vehicle then bought it from leasing agency)

Mercedes Service book is stamped from day one!!!
Recent major service done:
all fluids flushed ATE, P/S Coolant, Brake,,,
Newer Michelon tires (about 3000 miles on the tires)
new Mercedes battery
new hood pad
brake have 80% pad remaining
A/c R134A (2005)

I have driven this car and it's like going back 20 years in time,,,

More pictures in other posts.

I would like to add that the engine compartment was NOT detailed,,, look at that shiny cruise actuator and the shiny IP injector lines. Original Mercedes smiles.

The variations in interior color are due to the flash not going off when the camera snapped the picture. The interior is all the same color.

No Drips, or leaks,,, Smooth shifting tranny,,, nice stable driving safe car

Everything is as it should be on this car,,, no exceptions,,,

Click on any picture below for a hi res to pop in a new window

Beautiful here's some pictures:

Look at this clean interior,,, notice the door striker and striker eyes? virtually like new. the keypad is used to arm and disarm the alarm. Don't know if it's factory or not.

Here's the engine compartment. Have you Ever seen such a beautifully clean engine from the factory? Look closely at the spare tire, it still has the factory protectant on it!

The tool kit was STILL in the plastic bag from the factory!!!

Look no fogging on the rear glass. Because there's no rust hidden under the rear window!!!

I've been working on the pic's to get them smaller in the listing,,, was kinda too much too big, etc.

No price listed because I was hoping to get you guys to come up with a good price. I will tell you this, it'll be listed on ebay starting at $12K. These pictures don't do it justice,,, gonna add some pics of underneath soon,,, simply amazing,,,

Yes located in Cleveland, OH

I think 12k is a little much. I bought my 82 300sd with 97,000 for $5400. It is not quite as nice an exterior and a few small mechanical repairs. If you can get 12K that would be very nice. I would think 8-10k is a little more realistic.

$12 is an extremely high starting price.

$5000 would be more realistic and let the bidders determine how high it goes.

Always start the auction at $100. Nobody wants to make the first bid when you start it at $5K or $7K or $12K. If you try for a $12K start, I'd be amazed if you get even one bid.

Maybe a buy it now / best offer approach might work best?

I would look and see if there are alternative venues, other than ebay, to sell a car like this.
