OK The saga continues............
Last night I was watching a '93 E-300 on Ebay and tried to win it but wasn't quick enough. Good news is this morning I call the owner and the winner "didn't have his finances together", so I am now a proud owner of a well maintained Black on Black 1993 E-300. I fly to Charlotte next week to pick her up!!!  ...( The wiring harness has recently been replaced.)This makes it 4 cars and 2 drivers. Good news is one of the sanitation men who has had his eye on my Yellow SD stopped by today and told me he is bringing me cash on Tuesday next week. Now I just have to figure out what the price will be....and hope he brings enough.  I have about 10K in this in the last 1 year. I am thinking 5,000. is fair.So this leaves me to sell of at least 1 of 2 remaining nice cars. Both have few, if any minor issues and no major ones...........Make me offers !!! ( For those who want a # to start with I would like to get 5,500 for the CD, and 4,000 for the 190E. ) The 300SD is not sold yet, so if someone is looking to have the only big yellow car in town that doesn't have a meter in it let me know asap. If anyone is interested in making offers for my 1989 190E 5 speed or my 1983 300CD turbodiesel please PM or call my cell; 1-954-304-3360 or lm at home 561-210-5808 The cars are in south Florida, and I will assist any way possible........ was the E300 an impulse buy? I impulse buy.. like.. candy..(it looks pretty nice.. black.. very nice)
Didn't you list this CD on ebay? You should... I bet you could get what you want for it.. or close to it

Here's what I have learned:
It is ALWAYS easier to buy a car than it is to sell one (of course that goes for just about everything). Everyone always wants your car as soon as you have sold it, but where were they during the months you tried to sell it? Of course they always would have paid you more than what you landed up taking too, just to make you feel worse they tell you this! Good luck with your sales. CDs are hot now, but I don't know how much longer diesels will be the fad...diesel fuel is over $4 here now and every day it seems to go up another nickel. I'd hate to see all these great old cars "converted" to alternatives but it is inevitable.
