I went to look at a wagon today with 245 on the clocks. Mechanically it's pretty good. Owned by a MB mechanic, but some bad: floor rusted on passenger side front and rear, usual body rust on rear wheel arches, and the engine appears to have a knock. Possibly the timing chain needs adjusting, possibly a wrist pin slap? I don't know. No blow by. A/c seems to work but not icey cold, passenger rear window doesn't work, and locks don't activate. To me the main issue was the rusted floor, and engine noise.Car shifted fine, had plenty of power, and I believe the knock sound went away when rev'd up.(timing chain?). I've got 16 cars and not looking for another project but if anyone here wants the car, NOT MINE, it's $1,000. PM me here on the board, and I"ll put you in touch with the owner.
