Good Morning All,
I desperately need to sell my 86 420SEL (unfortunately). I am in the military and moving overseas and it must go. The body is in excellent shape with a small ding on the passenger door and zero rust but the paint is in need of some TLC. Mechanically, it has 373,000 miles and starts right up but it has a click in the motor coming from the driver's side valve cover. I just put brand new brake calipers all around and replaced the master cylinder but I think I need a new ABS controller as the fliud to the back brakes stopes there. The interior is in excellent shape and everything works great but it does have a tear in the driver's seat, arm rest and a couple of small cracks in the dash. The car has an interesting history as it was purchased new by Frank W. Balance. He was a Senator for the State of North Carolina and later a U.S. Congress man who, in 2005, was imprisoned for money laundering, mail fraud, and conspiracy.
