1985 300D

Hi,

I bought this car off this forum last November. It has been great, but we simply have one too many cars at this point. It is originally from Texas - no rust!

Here is some quick info:
Smoke Silver Metallic with Palomino MBTex interiors
275,283 miles
Two sets of tires AND stock wheels
3000 miles on new Michelin Xradials
Yokohama iceguard winter tires
Suspension is fine
NO RUST, anywhere
A/C R12 and cold
~23-25 MPG
Starts amazingly well in the cold - zero problems this past winter

Pretty much all the information I could think of is available here:
http://kroondyk.com/300d/

Asking $4000

4,000 dollars and you only have 3 posts. I personally hope for a much much more thourogh explanation of the car and its service history and of course lots and lots of pics.

Did you check out:

http://kroondyk.com/300d/?

I thought it provided quite a bit of the history of the car... no?
It also has lots of pictures.

Lastly, that's the *asking* price. If you don't think it's worth that much, make me an offer. I'm negotiable.

Dave

I KNEW that car looked familiar - and the report on all the areas where work had been done.

I watched DMorrison's original selling thread carefully, then saw that exact same car pop up on Craigslist up here in Michigan. Small world.

Good luck.

I love posts like these, they provide a nice checklist of items to address...

I might be ready to drop $4k alone for the COLD R12 AC & original radio when I am cruising around in my '84 W123 this summer....!!

If I were in the market for another W123 - I'd consider this one... nice color/great year & the maint. log is quite nice.

Awesome! Economic times have cratered and the price of that car has gone up since December. Why don't you ask for what you want, not a price that you already start backing off from?

No offense, but that car was worth more coming from Dave M.

An OM617 engined W123 just MIGHT be considered a more desirable car in uncertain times by many people......

None taken, but what would make the car worth more coming from Dave M? It's the same car, except I've had some of the issues fixed (e.g. New oil cooler lines). Plus, it now comes with 2 sets of wheels and tires and remote entry. I've got well over $4,000 into the car, therefore that is what I would like to get. However, that doesn't mean I'm not motivated to sell and will not accept lower offers.

Dave

That was more of a positive statement about Dave Morrison than a negative towards you. My apologies......

Looks like a decent car. Its not worth any more from DM to me, since I don't know him.

No offense to Dave.
