Craigslist: 1994 E320 coupe "sportline"
No affiliation.
Looks pretty sweet...not sure about the claims of exclusivity, but is a sweet ride, nonetheless. http://detroit.craigslist.org/cto/1106357172.html

I saw that - pricey bugger. Problem I have with the seller is that he thinks the car is only 1 of 1 (probably not), and that the suspension might have been done by AMG (defintely not). In other words, seller is absolute on getting his $10,000 as if he KNOWS it's worth that much, but yet he knows very little about the car he's selling.
It's a very nice car - if dude was interested in lowering his price, I'd be interested in replacing my 300D with it. He's also got it on ebay with a no-bid $9999 "reserve".

You'll see Sportline coupes come up for sale once in awhile. They are uncommon, but certainly not "one of a kind". I don't think those wheels are OEM to the Sportline coupes. For that year, they were the 8-hole wheels. (I could be wrong). To me, the price is not really out of line. Certainly not a steaming bargain, but if full maintenance records are available and nothing needs to be done to the vehicle, then not an exorbitant asking price either. If I were looking to replace my '89 coupe, the color of this one were Smoke Silver, and it checks out mechanically, I'd pay his price.

p.s. For any of those considering this particular car...notice the rather serious scratch/flaw in the front bumper impact strip about a foot from the side of the car on the passenger's side. Shows up in most of the pictures.
Also, there are really not good pictures of the driver's seat. They can get pretty worn and cracked, especially in the intense Florida sun. Be sure to get a better indication of the condition of the driver's seat bottom and back rest before laying down your money. Might also want to check the condition of the center arm rest. They tend to crack too, if not taken care of.

"Best way to describe it is being vary similar to an M3". That would be true if the M3 was a tank.

Yeah I laughed pretty hard at that statement. Seller is a moron, though the price isn't completely out of line. If he could be talked down a couple thousand for all that maintenance than any new "used" car inevitably requires, this would probably be a pretty good buy.
