1984 300SD with Plantdrive WVO conversion
1984 Mercedes 300SD turbodiesel, 5 cylinder 3.0 L engine. I don't know where to start. If you've ever seen a movie from the 80's, this was the car that foreign dignitaries drive:
-automatic 4-speed transmission -power steering -power brakes -power seats -power locks -power windows -Brand new JVC radio, CD, iPod/MP3 player -A/C blows cold -heater/defrost work like new -cruise control works like new -Brand new "Plantdrive" single-tank kit installed by biodiesel mechanic (put diesel, biodiesel, SVO, or WVO in any combination in original fuel tank) -starts first try, every time -California car -352,000 miles new stuff: battery glow plugs fuel lines/filters ignition lock (the part you stick your key in) the bad: tear in driver seat rear windows stuck shut rear window tints are scratched included with car: -4 cubies for holding vegetable oil (5 gal each) -original owners manual -Mercedes service manual -Plantdrive instruction manual $2500 FIRM THIS CAR HAS TO GO I have receipts for everything I've purchased for the car, and I've changed the oil 3 times in the past 2,000 miles--ultra clean engine!! Call or email if you have any questions, I'm in Walnut Creek (925) 639-9472 Last edited by shopstone; 11-17-2010 at 02:15 PM. |

You may get some comments here about the conversion lowering the value of your car, but there are definitely some rare people who consider it value added so just keep looking for them. I would consider your wvo conversion to be value added if (just like any other used car seller) you could show that you took really great care of the car, installed a well thought out conversion that was meant to last, and used only clean dry fuel. If you were in NJ Id consider making you an offer.
Good Luck! |
