If you look on his home page the navy blue 300dt 3rd row down middle he bought off Ebay a year or so ago for a lil under $10k I think it was his last Ebay feedback...It was a 1 owner with mileage in the 30k range...I think he sold it for $25k or so..He seems to be passionate about what he does tho..

Am not sure sure where you get your benchmark for "ridiculous".... Frankly at these prices and given the level of detail in his work, he's making a living but that would be it.

The time involved in correcting all the cosmetics/trim/annoyance issues on old Mercedes is significant, quite apart from any mechanical or body metal refurbishment he does.

For high-end refurb and basic restoration (which is what I would call what he's doing) those prices are quite reasonable. He sure as hell isn't becoming a millionaire on those prices.

Wonderful work he does. Pity that with all that committment he has to deface them with those disgusting pinstripes.

He's a good guy. I've sold him parts before and probably will again. He is really into cars that have original paint. I envy his ability to make money doing something really fun with cars. But good for him!

His photos look like they are from a Mercedes brochure. Very nice cars indeed.

Except this 240TD wagon was repainted ten years ago.

I just traded emails with him, complimenting him on one of his cars I saw on the east coast. Said he's looking for a really good W124 wagon for his girlfriend's daily driver. Maybe I can work out some sort of trade... ?

I would; it's probably slow as hell, but that wagon is special.

I'd love one!

With a three hundred turbo and a stick!

DaimlerBenz featured him on MercedesTV. I don't think you can get a much higher recommendation than that.

If I recall correctly I saw pics on his site from parties he throws for his customers (big backyard BBQs).

I would be surprised if the local restorers around here send out anything more than a Christmas card. If that
