Thumbs up 1985 300D, 117k, rare BBS's-SOLD

We have decided to sell our '85 300D that we purchased from the original owner in '06. This was a summer car and has been stored winters. All of the maint. by the original owner was done at the dealer(Great Lakes/MB of Buffalo) and after we owned it I have maintained it(retired Master Tech). It is silver ext./blue int., the interior is in VGC with no rips, missing pieces, etc. The drive train and mechanical's are in good shape with no problems other than being old. Oil changes every 3k with factory filters and Shell Rotella 15w40/also fuel filters. I have ran Howes fuel treatment the entire time and it helps with controlling smoke/smooth starts and lubes the inj. pump. The brakes were done in '10, all 4, pads, rotors, sensors, bearings cleaned, greased and adj., also all new Bilstein shocks. We have taken many road trips in this car without any issues, everything works, A/C converted to 134. The body is what needs attention, the lower front fenders, valance and rear quarter's, however with the low mileage and the rare BBS rims that are available it would be worth the work, also one of the nice color combo's. The price is 2800/bo with the stock rims/tires or 3500 firm with the BBS rims. The rims are also for sale separately. The vehicle is located in WNY.

As to the body needing "attention," can you elaborate as to where the rust is and to what extent....in addition to what is visible in the picture?

Thanks.

The areas are both front fenders lower behind the wheels, lower front valance and some spots around both rear quarters. Describing rust isn't the same as other vehicle conditions, what some think is easy to take care of others may think it's a deal breaker. If someone has genuine interest I have more pic.'s, for some reason I can't post more here. This car has been parked since Nov. and I went out the other day to start it and it fired right up first turn of the key! Installing the updated glow plugs last year definitely helps.

Are those 15 inch wheels? If so, how much for them?

Thanks!

Width is also a factor... I recently bought a set of 16's - 7" wide for front and 8" wide for rear, with red centers. $1000 + shipping with good 225/50R16 tires which I feel was a pretty fair deal. Planning to use them on my W123 coupe and putting a D-Jet M117 in it.

I have another ad in the parts section for the rims, they are perfect shape. I checked all the I.D. info with BBS before I bought them and they are the rim BBS made for the 123 series. They are 6 1/2 x14 with the correct offset.

A nice 300D that has always been maintained and enjoyed every year from Apr. to Nov. in WNY.
