1987 300D eBay preview
The craigslist listing expired without a single party coming to see the car so I'm setting up an eBay listing.
Here is a slideshow:

Afterglow function with dash indicator
Remote keyless entry (factory alarm removed)
Pioneer CD MP3 player
Interior exhaust gas temperature, engine oil temperature, transmission fluid temperature, turbo boost gauges; no console ashtray!
Underhood ammeter, transmission supply vacuum gauges
Interior transmission modulator vacuum gauge
Console storage bin (locking but no key)
Armrest storage bin
Late series leather wrapped steering wheel
Garage door opener switch in console, prewired glove box
Auxiliary 12V sockets (always live)
Late series trunk and trunk lid liners
On-board battery charger
Late series 8-hole wheels including matching spare
Front seat fry catchers (not factory installed on early 300Ds)
Lower setpoint auxiliary fan switch Other notes
I purchased this car in May from a friend and fellow enthusiast so I've known this car since 2007. I purchased it on a whim then decided my other 1987 300D is enough for me.
Indication of crash repair in left front corner, repaired prior to my friend's purchase, no accident indicated in Carfax report
- hood, fender, radiator support and bumper appear original
- detail repairs and adjustments performed by previous owner
-- alignment of condenser and auxiliary fan
-- alignment of ABP pump bracket
No tool kit! Jack and lug wrench only
Run primarily on retail B20 fuel between 138K and 168K miles
Some leakage dampness in right rear of engine, bottom of bell housing, pitman arm and tail end of transmission
Rear seat squeaks with moderate load
Closing sunroof can require multiple presses of switch despite numerous trips to dealer
Left rear window operation slow and labored
No rust other than corner of right rear window despite over 100K miles in NY state/east coast
Paint overspray indicates poor masking job
Right side wheels clear coat cracking
Driver seat bottom pad replaced with pad from 1991 300E
Trip meter reset is flaky; replacement speedometer was in the car for 946 miles before decision to sell; original speedometer in place
250,000km mileage award certificate and grill badge issued by MB classic center Still working on the prose and mpg exaggeration. Critique away...
And since this is a classifieds forum, it's available for $3000 at least until the eBay listing goes live.
