1979 Mercedes Benz W107 450SLC 5.0 Rally Edition. This is the lowest production post war Mercedes car built. It is different from a regular 450SLC in that it has an aluminum high output 5.0 engine, special transmission, lower racing suspension, light weight aluminum hood, doors and trunk, and a rubber spoiler on the trunk. It also has the 5.0 badge on the trunk and a special short band radio device built into the center console. This is a genuine 107.026. It is a restoration project. It is complete, but the engine is about 90% installed. The car does not currently run or drive. It comes with a 1974 450SLC parts car. The silver SLC was running and driving when I purchased it. The only reason it does not run and drive now, is because I removed the fuel pump to use in another car. It comes with a California title that has one year of expired registration. The 1974 has a good running 4.5 engine and transmission. I have video of the engine running if you need it sent to you. Included as well, is a rear seat and front seats for the the 1979, as well as a brand new rear window gasket. For the 1979 5.0, I have a California title, and the registration is currently in a PNO (planned non-operation) so there are no back fees. The euro bumpers, headlights and authentic AMG front air dam alone, are worth my asking price, but I feel this car has potential to be restored. We are asking $2500 for everything.
