My thoughts exactly. A majority of the cars I drive have cassette players and I would love to have a place to store the tapes...!

Hey, shertex, wanna trade for an engine?

Best part is that little white tap should change to a red tab or similar with a cassette in the storage compartment. I had the exact same storage setup in an 87 high end Quantum.

In that the tab would turn red to let you know the drawer was full. Shertex, you should dig out a cassette and see what the tabs do

And those in-dash cassette storage filing cabinets were so very innovative for their day!

It's a honey of a 190! A veritable time-machine!

Best to your sale, shertex!

Sure enough, when a cassette is placed in the drawer there is a mechanical red indicator.

Putting up as an eBay auction this weekend....at least that will provide me with a week's worth of amusement.

Would it be rude of us to begin wagering on how much it brings in on Ebay? Yes, I suppose it would be. Hope the auction is successful for you.

Even with a no reserve absolute auction I really doubt he could lose.

Haha....no, it wouldn't be rude. Feel free to place your bets! I will certainly let you know what happens.

It will be a 10-day auction, starting tonight. Buy-it-now price is $7500 and there is a reserve. I hate eBay fees....$40 plus more if it sells.

Originally I was going to wait till tax time, but I thought it would be fun to try it now. If it sells, then I can buy a W210....a W211 is still out of reach.
