This car has been in our family since new; in Maryland for 12yrs, California for 7, and now in West Virginia since 2008.

Overall, the car is in fair to poor condition for it's age but needs repairs. It hasn't been used since Nov 2012, but I've been starting it periodically.


The good:
- The bodywork is clean. The car has never been in a collision beyond a dented fender and replaced front grill.
- The valve seats were replaced in 2000. Original valve seats were known problem in this motor.
- AC was rebuilt with a new evaporator in 2005.

The bad:
- There's leakage between the oil and coolant. I think the head gasket failed when a radiator hose burst and the engine overheated. The car doesn't leak coolant or oil, and is drivable, but I had to add oil and coolant frequently. I think it might be safely driven a modest distance.

Other wear:
- the car is 25 yrs old, so the paint and interior are worn and some interior trim is broken.
- steering interlock release is unreliable. I've replaced ignition tumbler to no avail.
- rear window lifts don't work - the motor is fine, but a clip is broken (common in this model)
- the radio has been removed (the original Becker is in the trunk)
- the original motor was replaced around 125K miles
