2 300TD (Wagons) plus parts! $1450 - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Please read the entire ad. I love this car and don't want to sell but I'm moving so it seems like the simplest solution.

There are two cars. A 1979 300TD and a 1982 300TD. The 82 is really rusty and is more or less parts. I did drive it into my barn a year ago. The 79 is in good shape overall with little rust. It was a SoCal car until about 7-8 years ago when it was brought to MN and repainted and the interior redone so cosmetically it is in great shape. I bought it from a forum member here for $1400 with a known drivetrain issue. I drove it for probably 10k miles before I parked it and bought the 82 to transplant the drivetrain (and other stuff) in to. I'm pretty sure it was a head (valve) issue but I never dove into it. Looking back I wish I would have as it would be on the road right now.

Both engines and transmissions are sitting pretty much complete on my garage floor. I took out the wiring harnesses as well as the HVAC and was starting to swap the 82 into the 79. That is pretty much where it sits. I simply haven't had the time to finish it and now we are moving cross country. I have tons of new parts plus tons of used parts that I can include. This is a great deal to the right person...however obviously most of you are not local so getting it to you would be the issue.

If no one pays me/picks it up by July 27th the 82 is going to the recycler along with a lot of the parts and the 79 is going to my mom's garage where I will attempt to finish it over long visits. It will still be for sale but I won't have the 82 or a lot of other parts.

If you don't live too far I can possibly help deliver (after full payment). You have to promise me you wont' scrap/part the 79. It is just in too good of shape. It even has the Oil Burner Club badge from this forum! (Put on by the PO)

I WILL NOT SELL PARTS AS I SIMPLY DON'T HAVE TIME TO PACKAGE AND SHIP THEM! If you want something you are more than welcome to come to me.

Please someone save these parts before I have to get rid of them!

Another pic.. (of the 82) The 79 is the yellow one. It is dirty from sitting but will shine up after cleaning it. If you search you will be able to find my thread(s) about all I did to the 79.

Okay, price reduced to $1000 but I need payment by Sunday night the 26th to hold everything. Otherwise everything I can not fit in the back of the 79 wagon (besides the engines/trans of course) is going to scrap. I have a $h!tload of parts from parting a couple cars over the years that can go along with it.

Sold locally...well not so much locally as the guy is from Omaha and is coming to get them and tow them back. I told him about the forum so hopefully he becomes a member her so I can follow the car's status and rebirth!
