1970 M.B 250
I've got a 1970 250 for sale in VT. Recent work includes head gasket, engine mounts and exhaust. The interior is in great shape for the age with only one small tear in the driver seat. this is my daily driver and is vermont inspected until Feb 2015. Over all it's a solid survivor with some minor mechanical an cosmetic issues that still need to be addressed
Looking for $4500 or Best offer. http://burlington.craigslist.org/cto/5106494583.html Last edited by runs.like; 07-22-2015 at 03:58 PM. |

Am I way off on the price or what? I bought this car for my wife, who wanted an old Mercedes, in October of 2014. Since then I have put a few grand into it. Now she just wants a car that she can get in and drive with no weird little quirks. I hate to see it go as it is a great car.

It's going to be tough with it looking like that.
Really clean it out. No wants to spend $4500 with a pile of dirt on the floor. Then go wash it and buff the paint out. It's a really tough market for gas models of these. A diesel would be an easier sell.

Unfortunately, these cars have very little value unless they are pristine. Your car has exterior rust, which suggests it probably has a lot of hidden rust as well. I cannot speak to the market in Vermont, but in CA, that is unfortunately a $1500-$2000 car. I hope you can do better back east.

its amazing what buffing and polishing and wax can do for these cars.
No modern clear coat, so wax is very much needed |
