My friend (the one with the other two nice 300Ds for sale) also has an '82 300D with a bad engine in it for sale. It's Light Ivory with Palomino MB-Tex. Very clean inside and out. Ran well before the engine failed. I pulled the valve cover and couldn't find anything amiss on the top end so my thoughts tell me it's a broken crankshaft (they break right behind the #1 journal). Either way, it's a good, solid car for an engine transplant. Mileage is right around 200,000. Originally sold in Louisville, KY at Tafel Motors. It has new Michelins on it and the rest of the driveline (tranny, etc..) is good. I think he would be open to offers on this car, but e-mail me on the side if interested and I'll relay the message to him. The car is in Northern Kentucky, about 25 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio.
