I've got it rigged with a pump from a bmw, I don't think that the bmw pump has enough volume as the engine chokes with throttle above idle (with starting fluid the engine revs just fine)....

The obvious bad sign is a rod knock
After hearing the knock I called it a day.....

M117.98x motor parts available

Due to the knock, I'll part the motor. (117.986 federal CIS) It's a little tought to see but the plugwires and cap as well as the cold start injector are newer parts,(ie. clean, shiney).
I part Benzes as hobby so my prices are fair, nothing over $100 off this motor....

It has some rust in the floors from where the foam padding kept moisture... It has some surface bubbles here and there but it pretty good overall....

Pick-up special

Let's see if I can help any w116 driver out..
I work in Charlotte, NC; south side, Ballantyne to be exact...

If you can pick up your part at my office you can avoid heavy shipping fees and get the following bargains:
DOORS $25 EACH, you get what's on them at the time.
HOOD $50
FENDERS $40 EACH
BACK SEAT BOTTOM $20
RADIATOR $40
DECK LID $20

If your travel brings you to the intersection of I-26 and I-85 on a weekend we can meet so that you can load up...
