Does the W116 300SD look to have a non-leaking oil cooler (to the side of the radiator)? I've been looking for one for a while. They tend to leak with age and are not cheap to buy new.

Thanks! The biggest indication of a leak is, of course, oil on the cooler. Usually it starts at the front and works its way through the fins to the back and finally flies onto the engine. Sometimes it's the threads that leak from overtightening. 193,000 miles is really low for a 300SD, so it probably is good.

How much would you sell it to me for? In order to remove it you need to disconnect the top and bottom cooler lines (you would need to be careful) and then there are two bolts that attach it to the radiator. After that it should slide up and out. Oh, and watch out for all the oil inside the unit.

Let me know if you feel up to the task and how much you would charge for it. I'm broke as well, but want it to be worth while for you if you happen to go back there.
