Question Sun visor question please

Hi,
My 2000 E210's passenger sun visor is still in excellent shape but it is very difficult to flip it up and down. Is there a way to fix it? Any sort of lubrication can be applied to it? Since it is in light color, I tried a few drops of WD40 from the control arm but that didn't help. Any help you could give, I truly appreciate it.
Thanks
Tom

Is it binding up on the visor clip or the pivot by the side window? I guess I'm asking if it's hard to put up and down, or to the side, or both ways. Have you taken it out of the car and inspected it?

In an old Nova I used to have, if I tightened the screws too much it would be hard to move. I wonder if your ball socket is too tight in the windshield pillar. My 2 cents might not be worth 2 cents...

just a thought, but do yours extend? If so, try to extend by rotating back and forth, then use very fine steel wool or scrubbing sponge on shaft. then lube (I've used light coat of silicone grease from plumbing supply) seemed to work ok. good luck.

yes mine extends. I pulled it out and cleaned what seemed to be left over glue or something with nail polish remover. Then I spray WD-40 onto a rag and applied it throughout the extension rod. I then tried to rotate it slowly and finally it became loose. It is now rotating without any issue.
Thank you all for your advice especially mhin1956.
