Apparently the 1985 Mercedes 300TD-T has a 1985 California only battery tray... So looking for that with hardware without rust holes, the hardware for the heat shield, and the air cleaner mounting rubber block and mount.

The hardware for the heatsheld are just standard benz bolts--around 12 mm
I prolly still have the heatshield,
And I think i just stuck the tray in another car--didn't notice any difference there.

Looks like I need to make a trip to the salvage yard and see if I can find a W123. Then can have a look and see what is what. I am just going by the internet, so...
