Isnt amazing that because of this site and Gilly we owners often are more successful then many of the professionals at diagnosis and cures.
One more tip. They mentioned the ERG Valve to you...The dealer wanted to replace mine. I sort of recall a $200 figure. I declined. Then I read on this site that often just the EGR tube is plugged. Mine was totally plugged. I cleaned it out..cost me nothing, it ran great and eventually my idiot light went off.

that's because we're more motivated! i was told it was spark plugs or a egr valve- would have totalled around $1000 or so. earlier I was "needing a new power steering pump" and it turned out to be a rubber gasket! thanks again.
