Cool ML shifter loose

Does anyone has any instruction to fix this? My 420 sel had the same problem and the shift bushing was replaced; no more sloppiness.

Thanks,

John

You'll require a shifter bushing from your dealership or equivielent. It'll only cost a few $. Get under the car when it's cold (so you don't burn yourself) and follow the shift linkage from the gearbox to the shifter. Find which bush is missing (front or rear, there's only 2, probably the front one) and replace it.

It won't take you long, the only hard part is reaching it. It's a job that is learnt from repeating the job over and over and over and over...................
