2000 ML430 How hard is it to replace brake pads? Rotors? Brake sensors?

My 2000 ML430 needs new brake pads.. How hard are they to replace?

Also, how do I know if I need new rotors as well? I'm a car dealer so I just want to spend the least amount while still keeping the car safe.. My rotors feel rigity, can somebody explain to me exactly how to measure them?

Do you think I can replace them myself or do I need special tools? I have the WIS service manual..
