Pardon my ignorance again.... on my 98 ML320 the ABS/ETC lights are on. If I am reading these posts correctly with my brake lights working fine and my cruise control working fine its probably not my brake light switch. I'm fairly certain ABS does not work because the other day on an icy road I did a brake test (going slow of course) and the tires locked up. I swapped out K25 relay with another in the control box and lights were still on. So if I'm reading everyone correctly there is no use in replacing the brake light switch ,correct? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.
Also, on another subject, after the car is warmed up something is rattling in the engine compartment. Heat Shield for CC maybe? It only happens after car has been running a bit. Thanks. Last edited by Hertzog; 03-03-2007 at 03:59 PM. Reason: grammar issues |

I know you don't really want to hear this BUT......to find a computer issue you need a scanner that can talk to the traction system to find the problem..
Over 50 items can generate a traction code...& yes the brake lamp switch is #1.
