2007 GL450 Resetting Maintenance Service indicator

Need help resetting the maintenance service indicator on the 2007 GL450. I changed the oil at 6500 miles and reset the indicator 1st time (service A). Now the Service B light is on and odometer only reads 11,000 miles. I read the manual, it says light should not be reset for oil changes done outside of recommended service. I accidentaly reset it first time now it is out of sequence. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The sequence of recommended services aren't related to JUST mileage. Time & load also are factored in.

The dealer DAS laptop is the only scanner that can re-set your cluster BACK to the correct info.

OF course you can reset the mileage yourself after an oil service!

I was able to reset the light by pressing the R button three times rapidly. 12V will display in cluster. Then use button on the steering to navigate. It is not that treaky. You can program your oil changes your self. I have the pdf file w/ procedure containing how to reset the light. If anyone wants it let me know.

Yours is much different from that discussed above for the newer generation of MLs/GLs. The directions to reset your FSS are actually in the owners manual, so there is no need to retype it here. It is very easy to do.
