Question ......... Answers please ...Thanks

I just bought a new key for my 2000 ML 320 ........ is there a way of resetting the key or syncing it to unlock and lock the doors ???? I was told the only way to do it is to take it to a Mercedes dealer and pay $75 to $100 ..... there got to be another way , I read the manual and what they say doesn't work , the manual says if it doesn't work to take it to your nearest Mercedes Dealer , I just paid big bucks for the new key and now they want me to pay more to sync it ...........any ideas??? Thanks

Sometimes with remotes and such simply using the key to lock then unlock the door can synchronize them to the vehicle. That's what I do when ever I have to replace batteries in entry remotes and I haven't had a problem but I have never tried it on a Mercedes.

You can follow this...
START by getting in the ML & closing the doors!
Wait until the dome lamp goes OFF & the dash display goes off.

you bought a new key from dealer or ebay? If from dealer, they should have got that synced up for you at no charge. From ebay, you are out of luck, nothing will work.
