Puerto de la Quesera 4 January 2008.... This time we did it!

Last friday I enjoyed one of the most memorable off-road days of my life. It had everything: loads of snow, mud, river crossings, wonderful sights and good company. Just two G-Wagens attempted and succeeded in crossing the Collado de la Quesera, between the provinces of Guadalajara and Segovia in Central Spain.

All the pictures are here:

Also pictures from previous years' attempts attached.

Notice that two years ago there was no protection against falling down the hill

Last year it was simply too late in the evening (9 PM) and too cold (-6º) to continue...

Enjoy!

What a beautiful country. Looks like fun. Haven't seen snow like that except in Wyoming.

Nice trip report - looks like fun! Your Club G España site is very classy looking. Pero, no hablo español...mi mala suerte.

Another day out! There was snowfall on Friday again in the mountains near Madrid so we had another day out today! Pity that there wasn't as much snow as we expected but whatever we had was frozen and that made our day all the more exciting!

See the pictures here:

Enjoy!
