Check Engine Light
I performed a battery jump with my ML320 to start my Volvo. Afterwards my "check engine light" was activated. Any idea what could have caused this fault?

You would need to read the codes that it stored. If it is running ok chances are the check engine light will go out by itself in a day or two.

a voltage fault was detected...on the MB....a quick drop was detected by the computer and tripped the warning telltale...I would, for giggles disconnect the battery cables on the Mercedes (ground first and then hot) and let it sit for awhile and the rehook it up and see if the problem light doesn't go out...I am simply guessing...that's how it works on BMW, the check engine light will actually go out on it's own simply by fixing the issue that caused it to go on in the first place without some bullcrap reset light or meter or whatever, I don't know about Mercedes, mine hasn't come on yet.......
