car not running fine after fuel pump replacement

Hi,
My fuel pump died on my 99 ML 320 at 160K miles ... i got it replaced a week ago from a local shop in detroit.. after the replacement ... i noticed a loss of power i have to give more throttle and when i take the foot of the pedal it kind of jerks a little bit ( not a smooth down acceleration) and one more thing i noticed is my mileage has gone up by 30 i used to get 260 miles/tank(15.5 gallon) now i am getting around 290..

MB doc and gilly and the gurus please advice me what needs to be done .one more thing was done at the time of replacement ...Oil change and i dont know if they put mobile 1 synthetic 0W-40 ... coz i got two diffrent answers from 2 people that worked on it ...

and if any one knows a good MB mechanic around ann arbor or detroit please suggest

Thanks
Vamsi
