Indy Shop Can't Read OBD Codes ML350
Curious if anyone has experienced similar..... 06 ML350 CEL on. Indy shop connects diagnostic PC to car and can not read the codes. Seems to be my car. I've personally seen them read countless other benzes with the same gear. Older... Newer...
The dealer says they can read the codes. Ideas?

Bad code reader. OBD2 is a standard that everyone can read.

I don't know about down your way, but here in CT we have Autozone and Advance Auto, auto parts stores that will scan your car for free. I haven't personally done it because they can only scan OBDII cars and my 2 Benzes pre-date that and forget about the 911, that car has no computers in it. Only my Volvo would be able to be scanned, but I have had no issues with it.

Sometimes repeated disconnect/reconnect will get it working. In many cases that I've seen it was necessary to replace ME. ![]() |
