GLK aluminum block, lined?

Does the current gas GLK have a lined aluminum block?
What about the 2013?
I have read that the 2013 diesel will have an unlined aluminum block with an electrically deposited hard surface but no traditional liner.
I'm thinking about buying a GLK but not a Vega.
