2000 ML320 Fuel Filter?

Hello
I just serviced the truck spark plugs, air filter, oil & filter,Tranns service,Serp belt, differantial oil front and back, wanted to do the fuel filter but I'm little confused it appears I have the old version 163 477 02 01 with 3 lines plus the vent hose my question is are these upgraded fuel lines bigger then the originals? The new version looks the same 163 477 07 01 do I need to buy the new fuel lines with the fuel filter?
I have no issues the truck runs and drives fine 97K mi.
What kind of fluid does the Transfer Case take?

Thanks

If you have good fuel pressure & volume, then most likely the fuel filter is still good.
Plus is you get just the adapter fuel line you can install the longer filter w/o replacing the other 2 lines.

The transfer case uses Dexron type ATF. Synthetic ATF is better!
