ml320 2002 power steering issue

I had changed my power steering pump purchased from ecklers.My steering is ok going straight but when I try to park like slow turning parallel parking it gets very hard.Is this a pulley issue or rack issue.I was wondering if I did something wrong with the pump?I did the proper procedure by bleeding thge res jacked and sucking the bubbles out.Any help appreciated.
