Question ML 270 Break Lights

Dear All,
My ML 270 fail the MOT due to the break lights are not working. It was at the MOT station for the last 7 days they went through the full circuit diagram and the ECU still they couldn't find the fault. Did you come a across this fault or have any solution for this problem. If you could help me I will more appreciates.

Time to start over. Check the bulbs and the fuse(s). If they are good check the switch. If that's good then you get to start tracing and checking wiring.

the tool to use for testing is a multimeter, specifically the voltmeter function of it. is there voltage at the bulb, at the switch, and at the fuse?
