US Marines have G-wagens?
I saw this cool pic.. it looks like an older G-wagen, if it is... I didn't know we had these. Nice to know we got the best equipment out there |

No idea, I thought we only used HUMVEEs etc. Maybe it was captured?? I'm sure someone on the list knows.
BTW: I never knew buckets could walk. |

Howdy All,
Friends of mine that live down near Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base in S. Cal. used to see them roaming around.

Our USAR guys have (or had) them in Germany...
in the Fulda Gap in the 80s too. This was the tip of the spear where it was believed the Russians would come through trying to take over western Europe. I was there visiting the area once as a kid and disctinctly remember thinking it was cool our guys were using Benz Jeeps.
This was before the Hummer was built, so it was a Gwagon or a Jeep. Not a tough decision... E. J. |

The UN has been using the Gwagen for years. I hope they bring the G400 over to the states soon. I heard rumors they are combining the ML with the G for civilians. I hope not.
