My back passenger window makes a loud cracking noise when I first lower or raise the electric window.
I took the panel off to see why it was doing this noise but could not see anything. It sounds like the window motor or some other metal knocks agains the metal part of the door when the window changes direction. Any idea what could be causing this? I have 55K so I would like to see if I can adjusted or fix this myself. Thanks for any advice!! |

Window regulator
Which part is the window regulator?
Removal of door panels is pretty easy: Pry handle grip cover (inside grab handle). This is out of wood in pre 2000 model, or leather in post 2000. Behind this cover there are two screws that need to be undone. Behind the wood on pre 2000 or the SRS plastic button on post 2000 is another screw. Then pry panel from door on botton, bottom right and bottom left. Carefull with the top, that must be lifted upwards as in most cars. Remove cable to door light, and remove button clip and cable to inside chrome door handle. Pretty easy, should not take more than 3 minutes. Hope this helps. Thanks |
