Exclamation Ml55 Amg

hi,

I am v happy with my 92' 500E as a daily car but I need a quality 4x4 SUV for mountain roads and snow. I have been thinking of the Mercedes ML55 AMG I understand It has plenty of power and being sporty also while fully capable of conquering the rough country. any expert advice welcome, thanks

A very capable vehicle off road as well as on.

Not a probable choice however if you haul a lot of gear...the spare resides in the rear compartment instead of under the vehicle.

Unfortunately the ML's are made in Alabama, and the quality absolutely does not compare to a German made Benz.

However, you will find the ML's much better priced, especially used, as they do not hold their value as the German made models do.

Off road they are ok, but not as good as a real off-road vehicle. You may want to consider the G-Wagen, they are real off roaders. I would not use my ML for real off roading.

Good Luck!
