2000 ML320 Service Checkup Items?

I am taking the 2000 ML320 I purchased last week (36K mi) in for a check of the harmonic balancer (I see cracks in the rubber). I still have 6 months left on the factory warranty and I am taking it to the local MB dealer (MB of Naperville). I have created a list of things for them to check (shown below). Are there any other historic problem spots I should note or should I take for granted the dealer will give the truck a full look over and repair as needed?

1. Harmonic Balancer
2. Excessive oil consumption
3. Steering pump clamp recall
4. Fuel filter update
5. Wire harness for aux fans and upgrade from 30 to 40amp fuse
6. Right side catalytic converter

Thanks,

The Tech at my dealership went over my truck with great detail on my last vist before the warranty was up. He found an engine oil leak at the oil quality sender unit and a transmission fluid leak. Neither one of which I had noticed. Both were covered under the factory warranty. With your list of things to check and a good service department at the dealership you should be okay. I've found during my Mercedes Experience that not all dealer service departments are created equal. A good one can really make the difference between a good experience and a bad one.

Just a quick update to my repair wish list:

1. Harmonic Balancer (cracks in rubber, dealer replaced)

2. Excessive oil consumption (10yr/150K mi warranty if ever needed)

3. Steering pump clamp recall (dealer replaced clamp/hose)

4. Fuel filter update (dealer says no warranty coverage. $550 charge if I want it done. Also suggested I wait till 60K mi rather then 4yr mark - I only have 36K mi presently)

5. Wire harness for aux fans and upgrade from 30 to 40amp fuse (dealer performed upgrade). Was causing AC low cooling.

6. Right side catalytic converter (not an issue on this visit)

Other then the prospect of the fuel filter update charge lurking in the future I am quite happy with the warranty service. I believe the majority of ML issues were addressed and hope the truck lasts for years to come now.
