'01 ML320 CD Question-please help

I was wondering if you can get a single cd to go in the factory unit or if the only choices are the dvd nav. and the cd changer. If someone could help that would be great.

At least on American models, the only choices for CD are either the changer in the back or the MCS Nav unit (which will play single CDs).

Anyone know a cheap place to get a Nav unit? What do they usually run?

Not true. You can also get a cd player to install into the MCS unit. This will work in conjunction with the CD Changer in the rear of the truck, or you can simply install the player into the MCS.
You of course can't have Nav AND the CD player, but as was pointed out the Nav unit I believe will play a music CD, but no promise on that from me.

Where do you get that single cd player from and how much do you think it would cost

You can get it from a dealer, unsure on the cost.

I just checked with my parts department on the single CD and they said they did exist but are no longer available. There were a limited number out, but they are quite rare. I suppose you might be able to locate a dealer that has old stock.

Subwoofer bolted to floor under the drivers seat means it has Bose.
