It is downright spooky, mike, the vegatation is going wild here too. If it goes back to normal, they are going to have some serious fire problems. As a matter of fact, I'll think I'll take the day off tommorrow and go down to the beach and check into it. That's the ticket. I'll even stop and warn the ladies I meet of the danger. Someone must sacrifice.

I'm loving it. Instead of hiding inside, I get to put huge miles on the motorcycle.
I hope it means an acutal, real, honest to God winter with snow, lot of it down here. I'll have the ol' John Deere Liquifire up and running, and would have a blast playing with the only snowmobile in at least a 500 mile radius. :D |
80-degree temps in Texas is typically reserved for April-early May! During the dog-days of August, it should be at least 20 degrees higher on average!
I'm loving it! I can work in the yard without bursting into flames, and actually take the SL out for top-down motoring in the MIDDLE of the day! I fear the winter though... :( |
It was sad to note on this morning's weather report that heaven, in the form of an unusual Canadian cold air mass sitting over Texas for the last two weeks, is leaving town for Atlanta, etc, where tempertures may drop to the 60s during the evenings as it has done here. Hell will be returning to Texas, but there is a chance that Houson may see a return of the cool air. In the meantime, it is back to the garage with the SL, and me back to the Ford Escort. Enjoy it, if you live where it is about to arrive- I will sadly miss it. Of course, I recommend Heinz barbecue sauce to those who have now become graced.

Kirk, you bring the BBQ sauce and I'll crate up the beer for a down home cookout in the nice weather heading our way. :) All others welcome too! :) |
Hmmm... do I smell ROAD TRIP!
|
Why not?? I've done Houston to ATL in 10.5 hours :D

Ahh, another excuse to hop on the 'wing and see what's over the next hill. :D
I've dumped about $700 into the Goldwing. I've installed spring loaded highway pegs that automatically put themselves away when not in use. I just brought home the requisite hardware to install my GPS and XM Delphi receiver. My new seatback should be here tomorrow. :D Once the goodies are all installed, my back pain issues should be solved, and my entertainment toys all up to spec. And I thought that getting a new bike would be cheaper in the long run instead of constantly fixing the old ones. |
