Shop breakfast
Met Kuan, Heidi and Garrett for breakfast this morning. Had a great time at the Mercury Cafe, owned by a women with a 300d that runs on biodiesel. Surrounded by anti-war posters and live music we discussed the vagaries of existence and the quirkiness of Mercedesshop. It was fun to connect mind with body and learn more about a fellow 'shopper.

I'm at 1st and Broadway, approximately. Where are you? Kuan and I had bben e-mailing off-list about this but it didn't look like it would happen because I was supposed to be out of town. It didn't occur to me to put out a general invitation at the last minute. I should have.

There's a guy down the street from me (Kerry ??? at the Human Bean company on east side of Broadway between Ellsworth and Alameda) who makes his own biodiesel from the WVO from Swift's Steakhouse. He does the chemical conversion as opposed to just using straight WVO. He has a diesel schoolbus and a truck he uses it in.

I've been to the Mercury Cafe but the only thing I remember is a bad hangover and that Heuvos Ranchero's almost caused my flight to emergency land later that day.
