...well, I don't think I used the term Nazi here or many other places. I tried to delete this thread yesterday, when it looked like it was getting off topic and out of control, but I'm too stoopid to figure it out myself. Now it's just a regular stream on consciousness rant fest...f@#k if I care anymore.

When are you going to learn, you are never going to please everyone.

Particularly those countries who are jealous of success, and chose to do business with despots, you know like France and Germany...............Real bastions of ethical and moral behaviour......Doing Busness with Saddam Hussien via bribes and kickbacks..............

They make the Mob look like choirboys.

Perhaps Bush could cut down on the Nazi comments by not dressing up as a brownshirt. WTF is up with this getup he wore yesterday? The president is supposed to represent the civilian control of the military. Instead he is working out his Napolean complex. I found it offensive and an insult to the way this country is designed to be run.

Perhaps YOU could cut down on the Nazi comments!

The jacket is plainly a symbolic gesture to honor the troops he's addressing, and nothing more.

And I'm not surprised in the least that you don't get it, and would read something into it that's not there.

Please give us a break from this daily dose of stupid, juvenile, "See?! He's a Nazi!" crap, will you?

Mike

Bush is a neo nazi. Not to mention an egotist! Did you see where his silly name is embrodered on the jacket! What an ego!

As are all the rest of the military who have their name stamped on their BDU's and uniforms, as well as anyone else in the nation whose job requires a nametag or other identification on their shirt. Would you feel better if he had "BushHitler" embroidered instead?

Give it a rest. Or start sharing whatever it is that you smoke. *shakes head*

Fashun Fox Pass

...I just knew Khaki epaulets were gonna make a come-back. He needs a few more medals to complete the ensemble though...maybe some ruby slippers too.

I looked twice when I saw that press conference, because I thought he'd unearthed a mint-condition 'Members-Only' jacket from the late 80s!

It did strike me odd for some reason that the embroidery said:
George W. Bush
Commander in Chief
and the eppaulettes seemed strange-ish for some reason too. But, I don't really care what he wears or what style he likes or whatever, so long as he makes good decisions based on the actual true state of affairs of the world.

I figgured some would be here insisting it was on there to remind him.. sort of a chest-mounted teleprompter. ha ha..

What did Joan Rivers have to say on his wardrobe choice?

KirkVining 12-09-2004 03:37 AM

She said the only other celebrity wearing epaulets is Michael Jackson.

They have got to get back to being the party of all average working people, and represent their interests, not the interests of particular minorities. In actuality, this was the message of Howard Dean, unfairly labeled as some type of super liberal, which he is not - that's why the Dem establishment went after him - most of them have vested interests in keeping the minority-centric bull$hit alive. The Dems need to stand for the Biil of Rights - they are the ones who invented it for crissake. They have to be an alternative to repressive government and out of control corporations. The 60's are over, and people like Donna Braizelle, Jesse Jackson, McAuliffe and Kerry haven't figured that out yet. The whole Back to the Future message is killing them.

Kirk, you need to run for office. I'd even send you some campaign $$$.
