I live 7 blocks from the fulton county courthouse, and two or three blocks from the parking garage where this psycho stole the honda accord from an AJC reporter. So, yesterday was a bit different around here. Thankfully, he made a mistake and the woman whose apartment he'd forced his way into was able to escape and call 911.
It's really nice to see law enforcement actually do something right around here after a long series of scandals. I'm sure that there will be some debate over the procedures at the courthouse, but that can only lead to improvement.
Good job Georgia law enforcement!

during the press conference, three different commanding officers praised the 'restraint' of the arresting officers. I have to say I'm surprised at their restraint as well. It could not have been easy to take him into custody, and I was really expecting a 'shootout' in which this guy got killed but no other injuries reported... ala 'Training Day'...

I'm glad they got him, too...
I live in Duluth less than 10 miles from where they caught him.

Since I live in Fulton County I've been to that courthouse several times over the years for jury duty.

It doesn't make sense that they had a 51 year old grandmother guarding that guy alone. It also makes no sense that they didn't do a better job inspecting the parking garage where the green Honda was carjacked.

Oh well, the Gwinnett Police did a great job.
