There must be something wrong with me then, I want a muffler or device that makes the car produce no noise at all.

This is just so lame! Why would anyone want their car to sound that way. Wouldnt it bother you while you try to drive and listen to music in the car?

And yes my IQ has dropped all the way down from 80...

This was an item 50 years ago, when high school students would stuff them them in someones exhaust pipe to make them think they had engine problems.

Thats a required accessory when you put spinner rims on your car.......

Right along with the fake cell phone antenna and the little kings crown to set in the rear deck.

HAHAHHAHHAHHAHA!!! Oh man. Here's a story for you:
When I had my exhaust system *STOLEN* from my 300SD a couple years ago, I attempted to build my own. Well without a tubing bender away I went and made a very crude temporary exhaust system. The only problem with my homemade exhaust system was it made that exact sound. A very annoying whistle due to a sharp bend in the pipe! I ended up getting a new system built at a shop a few weeks later. When they removed the old one all the techs were standing around staring at the original laughing. I wonder if one of the designers for kid car accessories heard me driving by and wanted one of his own? Perhaps one of those "musical artists " Could I be responsible for such a ridiculous fad?

Uh - oh

I've gotta be careful. I live right by Oakland and drive through it all the time to one of the Pick 'n Pulls among other things. If this really takes off, it's liable to push me over the edge. I mean, I already fantasize about taking a shotgun to some of the more egregious boom-cars around here (with the people safely removed and away, mind you), a la Steve McQueen in that movie I forget the title of where he destroyed a police car.

The other day in a hardware store, a contender for world record over the top boom car drove by and the windows shook in the place, not a little shaking, I mean earthquake variety shaking.

I must jes be a playa hatah.

Just remember, if one of these whistling fools ever bugs you, "Ain't ya'all spose a be cookin' breakfas oh sumpin?"
