Is this another scam?

Im still selling my w126 and somebody from some car selling place is calling that they will advertise my car on a website for $130 and its guaranteed to sell within 30days at top dollar....which would be $7000 for my 380SEL. If it doesnt sell then they give me back $107 and they will send this ad to only people interested in these particular cars and who are registered to them.


This place basically seen my car in the Autotrader and are now calling me. The link is the company.

They must be pretty new - no matter what state you click on it gives you all the cars they have listed (not that many).

Yup FS sign is up on the window now for 2wks and at work I park it on a lot facing a busy street.

A person called this past weekend and came to see the car. He took the VIN and contacted his mechanic to have a look at it this upcoming weekend.

I read a newspaper article in the UK recently about this sort of thing.. companies call apparently claiming to have a customer who wants this exact car in this exact spec (which happens to match your car), so you hand over £100+ or so. The 'buyer' then never materializes. I seem to remember they do actually advertise the car so it wasn't a 100% scam... but it seemed to me 100% rip off and pretty unacceptable 'business' practice.

I got a lot of these types of calls when I advertised my truck. I just ignored them.

Be patient, the right buyer will come along.
