If it's any consideration my wife recently graduated from a local community college and didn't have to pay for any of her honers classes provided she maintained a 3.2 GPA. Now that she will be attending a state university in the fall, no more handouts. |

Like I mentioned, implementing Affirmative Action wasn't wrong, if we had not, it would have suggested that we the white folk, were not going to recognize or include minorities, after giving them the rights to vote, and climb above from slavery! Hell the Blacks are allowed to have their racist NAACP....that advocates rewards for mediocracy.... The Asians are smart enough to know what a waste that is....and the Hispanics would rather work for their money.... its only one group thats screaming for handouts.....to any real degree anyway. Jim Crow laws went out before I was old enough to have body hair.....and that was a long time ago......afirmative action has no place in todays world. |

To be blunt AA sucks. You are either qualified or you are not. Period. We should not be lowering our standards to accomodate the people who can not meet them. I do not want to hear the whining and crying stories of how you don't have any money or this or that. It is all BS, people should try to not be so lazy and live on government handouts.
Both my parents came to the US right off the boat from Austria & Russia with only the clothes on their back. Both took a long time to learn the language and eventually ended up in Ivy League schools and being top professionals. When it came to me I got no sympathy from them because I grew up speaking the English language and that was more than anything they were ever given so I received no handouts and have worked for everything I have and I appreciate everything I have accomplishd. Maybe if others were stripped of certain things they take for granted, they would get off their a$$ and work. |
