An A-Class in the United States?

I know a guy who was just down in Texas and he said that he saw a Mercedes A-Class. He said that it was a pretty small vehicle and it caught his attention because he had never seen one before. I know that they are available in Europe. Is this what's referred to as a grey market car?

Could be a gray market car or a factory test car. A friend of mine took a photo of an A in San Francisco a year or so ago.

The "A" and "B" were spotted in Denver a few weeks ago, presumably for a photo shoot or high altitude road testing.
