I have a but load of separate spreadsheets that I would like in one spreadsheet in separate tabs. Is is possible to migrate them into one workbook but separate tabs?

Open the excel file that has the spreadsheets that you want to migrate.
Open the file that you want to migrate the files to.
In the excel file that you want to migrate the files to..click on insert, click on worksheet. this wil create new worksheets (tabs as you call them)
Insert as many new worksheets (tabs)as you need.
Cut and Paste the old tabs into the new worksheets you just created.
If you want to get fancy you can right click on the individual tabs at the bottom and rename them and give each tab its individual color.

Now...does anybody out there know anyhting about macros

Make sure the file you want to copy or transfer the sheets from is open as well as the intended destination. The intended destination Excel workbook should also already have it's own name, and not be just a new unnamed workbook.

Right click the sheet tab name that you want to move. You'll see an option to move...
Be sure whether you want a copy to the other named file or a move,deleting the sheet from its origin, before you complete the task.
Also, remember you can't have sheets with the same namein the same workbook. If you have macros that depend on formulas or values on other sheet tabs, depending on what you're doing, you may need to rename some sheet tabs, or edit the macros.

And while you're at it with the axe, chop me down a nice Christmas tree, OK?

Does anyone know of a good source that explains how to work with pivot tables in Excel?

Thanks guys I managed by opening the multiple windows and dragging the sheets I wanted to the other windows.

The part that bugs me is why do people need pictures and fancy presentations to "get it".

I from the school of stuff written on a sticky note pad and they take my word for it.

and the meetings to schedule meetings what a concept.

Yes, those meeting to schedule meeting are a hoot.

I tried that whole write down a memo thing, and I started losing my mind, as I couldn't identify the location of the memo's. Its cool though. I have resorted to the old stand by. I have my palm pilot with my schedule in it, so I will always know what to do and when to do it.

I use my Treo and MS Entourage, as much as I hate winders the MS office stuff is awesome. I guess a new office for Mac is coming out soon, with Access.
