Construction heater question

I have a Reddy Heater R100A 100,000 btu construction heater that was working fine but now it "pops" al little bit. Rather then the steady roar if pops every few seconds and flame shoots from the tube. It's not real bad and I've seen heaters running like after burners but I do think that it is abnormal operation. Its pretty cold here now..13F could that be influencing the combustion.

I am using Kerosene.

sounds as if

you may have a dirty nozzle. Another indication would be greater hesitation to fire when it is turned on.

Sounds like a fuel system problem. Is the inlet plugged?

Its starts immediatly and when I crank up the fuel pressure it cranks out the flame so I'm pretty sure the fuel pump is crankin I'll check the nozzle.

Thats sort of what I'm thinking it's been sitting with a half full steel tank in the barn, I'm wondering if condensation screwed me. It was running fine before today so I think that could be the culprit.

You could put a very small amount of Heet yellow bottle in it. like 25% of the bottle.

kind of all of those.. dirty fuel or nozzle but the cold could definately have something to do with it.. sometimes when have a hard time warming up they'll do that, although you said it ran fine before and it has been this cold for a while..
